I make one-of-a-kind cowhide/leather bags and smaller items like organizers, pouches and card holders. I sketch a design and determine its dimensions. Then, I choose the area of cowhide/leather to mark and hand-cut. On very select pieces, I add hand-stitched bead embroidery. Then, I assemble all pieces by machine sewing. Metal hardware, I set by hand. My favorite aspect is choosing the perfect colors of leather/cowhide, lining fabric and beads, creating cohesion and unique character in each piece. I chose the Fiber/Leather category because my pieces are made up of mainly leather and secondly fabric.
