I use imported serpentine stone to hand-carve my pieces. These stones vary from 5-6 on the Mohr scale and they are responsive to carving. They polish extremely well and vary in color due to the extent and type of mineralization. My work is a mix of abstract and representative stone sculpture and it is inspired by personal experiences and the a propensity for conservation of wildlife.
