Torrin was awarded the Virginia Harris Memorial Scholarship. Torrin just graduated from OHS where he participated in both instrumental and vocal music. Torrin has also played with the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra, the UW Milwaukee Youth Wind Ensemble and the Oconomowoc Area Legion Band. Torrin is already a published music composer and plans to continue in music composition at Oberlin College & Conservatory. Torrin says, “I don’t want to write music that the world has already heard. I want to write music that is new and is me.”
