Kyra received the 2023 Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts – Virginia Harris Memorial
Scholarship. She reflects that she has always loved art: drawing, painting, or creating. In middle school
others recognized and encouraged her potential and passion. Beyond her high school courses, she has
spent over 3200 hours working as a student intern for Kit Co. Atelier as a student intern creating
customer formal wear. She is also an accomplished musician playing multiple instruments: violin,
ukulele, piano and guitar. She is an extremely talented, diligent, and empathetic student. Her desire for
direct and specific feedback is important to her as it has helped her grow as an artist. Academically, Kyra
is an honor student. In the fall, Kyra will attend the Milwaukee Institute of Arts and Design to pursue a
double major in Illustration and Fashion Design.
