Josie was awarded the Virginia Harris Memorial Scholarship. Josie is a recent graduate of Oconomowoc High School with a passion for music. Josie agrees with Hans Christian Anderson, who said “where words fail, music speaks”. She plans to study music performance and education in the fall at Belmont University in Nashville. Her long term career goals include pursuing a doctoral degree so she can teach music at the university level. She won’t be able to perform at the art festival this year because she’ll be representing OHS in Edinburgh, Scotland, at the Fringe Festival. Josie sings beautifully, and has recently been chosen as a high school apprentice at the Madison Opera.
