Save the Date for the Festival

August 19th and 20th, 2017, 10am - 5pm

Children's Activity Tent

Are your children begging you to make their own art? The activity area allows budding young artists a chance to dig in and get their hands dirty! Children can make masks, don a smock and paint a mural, have their faces painted, string beads… every year there’s a new creation to make. Activities are best suited for ages 4 to 10.

The theme for 2016 was MONARCH BUTTERFLIES.

The Children's Craft Area is celebrating the life cycle and survival ofthe monarch butterfly in several different nature-themed crafts. Our young budding artists will paint colorful murals, design symmetrical monarch wings, and twist 3D wire sculpture creating an epic and responsible appreciation for nature through art.

The Mindful Mixed Mediums project sponsored by the Kathy Boritzke Memorial Fund offered middle school students the opportunity to engage in civic leadership and learn from local glass artist Paul Phelps. In collaboration and partnership with the public library and Waukesha County 4-H, the 2016 student work will be on exhibit in the Children's Tent.
