The Oconomowoc Festival of The Arts
Held on the beautiful shores of Fowler Lake in Fowler Park.
August 18-19, 2012. Saturday & Sunday 10:00 am -5:00 pm.
Detailed guidelines for the 2012 registration:
- Application Fee $30, Space rental with your tent $165.
- To be juried, each artist must submit 5 images, including 1 booth shot of of how your current work appears in your booth, and 4 separate images of the art to be juried.
- No identification of your name or personal photo may be in your booth shot or on your entry images. Please take all identifying booth signs or signatures out of your images for the jury process.
- Only work representative of your submitted images may be exhibited in your booth. Images should represent current work and be in direct proportion to the work you plan to show.
- All booths are on the grass. Most booths have some space behind the booth.
- We do appreciate and encourage Festival artists to contribute to the Silent Auction. Those artists that contribute to this auction will receive a ribbon.
- Only the artists who juries into the show will be allowed to register for the festival. We will ID those artists at registration. The listed artist must be at the festival for the entire festival displaying the juried style and quality of work.
- Collaborating artists will be permitted provided it is a true hands-on artistic collaboration. Assistants are not collaborators in the process and both must agree to the rules set forth by The Oconomowoc Festival of The Arts and include the collaborator’s name in the application. Both collaborating artists must be present during the entire festival.
- All work exhibited must be of the quality, category and body of work shown in the images juried.
- The Oconomowoc festival of The Arts Committee reserves the right to ask an artist to amend his/her display to maintain the integrity of the show.
- Festival supplied booth signs will be put up on your tent Sat. morning on the top right front of the booth. These signs must remain up for the entire show and will be regulated by the Festival committee. If removed the artist will not be judged.
- All artists will show an ID at registration before entering the park. The listed artist must be at the festival for the entire festival displaying the juried style and quality of work. Artists will drive their vehicles into the park to register. You will receive artist packets at registration.
- Artists must be present throughout the entire festival in order to exhibit. No spouses or other representatives will be permitted in place of the artist.
- Our tax rate is 5.1%. We are not able to make change for you during the festival. Please see one of our many banks to help you prepare for this type of event.
- The city park does not allow dogs. Please do not bring your dog.
- The Oconomowoc Festival of The Arts has 2 qualified judges who will choose award winners for each category and a Best of Show. Winners will receive cash prizes on Sunday.
- The winners in all catagories are announced at a wonderful dinner party held at a private home on Lac La Belle Saturday evening.
